& Development (MCRD)

About MCRD
MCRD provides disaster relief and humanitarian assistance to communities affected by floods and other crises. Since 2022, KLCMC has formed an MCRD Relief Team with volunteers ready to respond through relief distribution and post-disaster cleanup efforts.

Purpose of MCRD
To provide timely humanitarian aid to those affected by disasters and crises, reflecting Christ’s compassion through practical service.

Activities
Relief supply distribution, disaster response, flood cleanup, and volunteer mobilization.

Serving Where Help Is Needed

Assist in sorting and distributing relief supplies, and help clean and restore homes affected by disasters. Volunteer opportunities and deployment details will be announced as needs arise. Stay tuned to church announcements for the latest updates.

About 7979
"7979" sounds like "Go Rescue, Go Rescue" in Chinese. It is a community care and assistance network initiated by the Holistic Care Team in 2010. In 2024, KLCMC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with 7979 and officially established a 7979 Care Station.

Purpose of 7979
To provide holistic care, assistance, and community services to those in need.

Through the 7979 Care Station at KLCMC, members are encouraged to identify and support people in need within the community, demonstrating Christ’s love through practical care and outreach.

Activities
Community assistance, care referrals, relief support, home visits, and connecting individuals and families with available resources and services.

Through initiatives such as the Manna Food Bank, Emergency Family Assistance, Children's Learning Support Programme, and Community Emergency Aid, we seek to bring practical care and hope to those in need. If you know of an individual or family requiring assistance, please contact the church's 7979 Coordinator to explore suitable forms of support.
